Ghana hat viele verschiedene Affen Arten überall in den Wäldern und National Parks. Viele dieser Affen Arten sind sehr zutraulich und es ist nicht erstaunlich in vielen Dörfern Affen zu finden als teil der Dorf-gemeinde. Ghana hat auch einige Reservate gegründet speziel für Affen - Boabeng & Fiema Monkey Sanctuary, Shai Hills, Ankasa & Bia Reserve. Man findet sie auch im Mole National Park, Kakum National Park und dem Monkey Hill in Takoradi.

Ghana has monkeys all over in every forest and thicker bush. They are not shy and can often be found near villages. Ghana has several reservation areas for them. These are Boabeng & Fiema Monkey Sanctuary in Kintampo, the Shai Hills, the Ankasa and Bia Reserve. Of course we see them also in the Mole and Kakum National Parks as well as on Monkey Hill in Takoradi. In these reserves the animals and humans live in harmony with each other. It is not unusual to see the monkeys coming to the nearby villages in search of food.

The Mandrill Baboon is found in most of Ghana's rain forests but also in the Mole National Park.

The Roloway's Diana Monkey is almost extinct in Ghana and the only place it can still be found is the Ankasa and Bia Resource Reserve.

The Green Monkey is common in most of Ghana's reserves and they prefer savanna and woodland to dense forests.

The Common Chimpanzee still occurs in the rainforests of Ghana but you are very unlikely to see one.

The Mangabey is mostly found in central Africa. The ones in Ghana have a small white collar and can be found in the western forests of the country.

The Patas prefers the dry savanna and as such can be found mostly in the Mole National Park in the north of Ghana.

The Anubis Baboon can be found in the Mole National Park and in the Shai Hills.

The Boabeng & Fiema Monkey Sanctuary is home to the Mona Monkey.

The Poto is a nocturnal creature found in most of Ghana's rain forests.

Like most of the other monkeys the Long Tail Monkey and Spot Nosed Monkey can be found in any one of Ghana's rain forests.

The Geoffrey's Pied Monkey can easily be seen in the Boabeng & Fiema Monkey Sanctuary.

The Galagos is also known as Bush Baby and is a nocturnal creature found in most of Ghana's forests.
